I don’t know about you, but when I think Julia Stiles, I think of one of the following:

1.       A nonconforming feminist who paves her own way through life [10 Things I Hate About You].

2.       A dancer who falls madly in love with the one person she isn’t supposed to [Save The Last Dance].

3.       A preppy University student torn between love and her future [The Prince and Me].

So basically, when I think Julia Stiles, I think of: teen drama with a romantic-comedy slant.

But before all of these- and in her first leading role, Stiles played disturbed 14-year-old: Ellie Christianson. When Ellie’s mother dies mysteriously, she feels the need to replace her. She wears her mother’s clothes and even tries to seduce her father. A detective is assigned to the crime investigation and finds that there are numerous suspects, all hiding a secret.

Think: murder, incest and a whole lot of psychological issues.
