bad guys finish last - normally

So DuskJenn in her blog posting says "any guy would tell you that - nice guys finish last".  I agree with her... except in the movies. In film, it's almost always the nice guy that win's the girl / saves the day / rescues the kitten  - you get my point.  But there are a few exceptions where the nice guy, in-the-end just isn't so nice after all.  These sleeper agents, hidden by their pretty eyes and flashy smile, reveal some of the best moments in my favourite movies.

My number one good guy, gone bad -  Leonard Shelby from Momento.  I don't want to ruin anything, but in the last few minutes of the film he makes a decision that defines his character and everything you've seen up to that point.

A close runner up, Aaron Stampler from Primal Fear.  This is one of Edward Norton's first roles, and he nailed the nice guy and the not so nice guy.  Really Edwards performance was better than Guy Pearce's and if I was ranking it only on that, this would be number 1.

And lastly in third place, Scream.  Yeah, the reveal is a little less exciting, and almost cliche but there were two good guys that were really bad guys!  The cool boyfriend Billy, played by Skeet Ulrich, and his best buddy Stuart, played by Matthew Lillard.  This film plays homage to so many great slasher movies, it has to be included.

What other nice guys gone bad can you think of?
