Getting caught up in a moment can be exciting, but dangerous. Something completely unexpected and unexplained can happen and it feels right, even if you know it’s wrong. Do you give in and go with it, or do you steer clear?
Sometimes your actions can get the best of you. You act without thinking first. Do you deal with the consequences or brush them under the rug?
Can you live with it?
Constance (Diane Lane) and Edward Sumner (Richard Gere) are a happily married couple who live in the suburbs of New York City. Everything begins to fall apart when Constance begins having an affair with Paul (Olivier Martinez), a stranger she bumps into on the street.
Edward becomes suspicious of Constance’s whereabouts and her actions soon catch up to her when Edward begins to put the pieces together.
