You know when you are a kid and your mom doesn’t like one of your friends so you can’t hang out with them anymore? This friend is definitely Tom Ripley.
When Ripley (Matt Damon) befriends Dickie Greenleaf (Jude Law) and his girlfriend Marge Sherwood (Gwyneth Paltrow) in Italy, all is fine and dandy.
However, what seems like the perfect friendship in paradise evolves into a suffocating obsession that leads to identity theft, scandal and murder.
