It first started with strange smells, doors opening by themselves and things mysteriously moving around her dorm room. Then it got worse.

When Emily Rose could no longer take the hallucinations, she moved back home to be with parents. She began taking anti-seizure medication recommended by her doctor but her experiences only got worse. Convinced that she was possessed by demons, Emily’s parents went to their Priest for an exorcism. An exorcism that ends up killing Emily.

This movie is unlike any other exorcism movie because it focuses on Father Richard Moore telling Emily’s story in court, as he is being convicted of murder. While others believed Emily to have suffered from epilepsy and mental illness, Father Moore is left to convince them, and the judge, of the demons that were actually inside her.
