In Near Dark, Caleb Colton is a small town guy who becomes fascinated with a new girl in town, Mae. She is dark and mysterious and…a vampire. Of course, Caleb doesn’t find out until she bites him on the neck one night and he starts to feel his flesh burn come dawn.

Since killing is completely against Caleb’s morals, he needs to learn to cope with his new life as a vampire, trying to do good instead of evil. Refusing to give in to being a vampire, Caleb does everything in his power to try to reverse the transformation.

Based on a novella by Stephen King, Silver Bullet is about mysterious deaths in a small town in Maine. When more and more people are found dead without reason or a murder suspect, the townspeople begin to worry. It isn’t until the slaying of a teenager that the town realizes that it’s not a murderer, but a werewolf they must stop.
