  • 2 Sexy Beast. 2 Acting Legends = time for a new approach

The topic of which is scarier, Vampires or Werewolves has been beaten to death. I’ve even had my own opinion on this particular topic in the past. Click HERE for that blog. But what if we compared the acting prowess, the brawn and the coolness of the two legends that play the title villains of the Sexy Beast weekend films coming up on DUSK Bram Posted to Dusk Diaries (Weblog) by Creature22 on 02-07-2011
  • werewolves vs. vamps - showdown!

Ok, we're all aware of the topic. We've heard the debates, the arguments and the cases. We've even seen the movies and heard the stories. Here, in this very blog—I will finally, scientifically, weigh all the options to which of the two, Vampires or Werewolves, are the most terrifying creatures. Using examples presented in movies, series Posted to Dusk Diaries (Weblog) by Creature22 on 11-24-2010
  • dr. hannibal lecter is go'n down?

Back in 2003 Dr. Hannibal Lecter topped the AFI's list of 50 villains of all time. Second and third are Norman Bates and Darth Vader. Quite a group of guys. The ingredients that put Hannibal at the top of the list: Brilliant, cunning, psychotic. His wickedness of mind, selfishness of character and will to power are masked by beauty and nobility Posted to Dusk Diaries (Weblog) by Creature22 on 09-02-2010
  • one hour photo, comedy at its best!

This weekend funny man Robin Williams returns to DUSK with the comedic masterpiece One Hour Photo . In this hilarious romp, Robin plays an alienated photo developer named Sy who just can't catch a break. The laughs continue as Sy's unhealthy obsession with an ordinary family boils over as he pictures himself as the family's favourite, wacky Posted to Dusk Diaries (Weblog) by Creature22 on 07-23-2010
  • fantasia = fantastic fans, a wicked city and a great party

I'm back from Montreal and in one piece. What a long, fun-filled opening night event. The Fantasia film festival kicked things off with the Canadian premiere of The Sorcerer's Apprentice . Although not usually the type of film I'd go for, it was still a nice bit of overly produced Disney fun for the family. It did have its moments of darkness Posted to Dusk Diaries (Weblog) by Creature22 on 07-13-2010
  • dusk is going to the 2010 fantasia film festival!

DUSK is a key sponsor of the opening night party at Club 1234, and if you're in the neighborhood you should check it out. The party kicks off at 9pm and runs until 3am. Music, drinks, performances, projections and more! Check out all the details in the invite. Hope to see you there. FYI - the Fantasia Film Festival is going to be huge this year Posted to Dusk Diaries (Weblog) by Creature22 on 07-06-2010
  • crazy in !@^#

It's like a drug. At first it's a high you can never get enough of. Then, after time, it becomes just something you have, but take it away or challenge it... and things get interesting. Your world collapses. You're a junkie without your next hit. Before you know it, you'll stop at nothing to get it back. It's true, Love is a double Posted to Dusk Diaries (Weblog) by Creature22 on 06-15-2010
  • bad guys finish last - normally

So DuskJenn in her blog posting says "any guy would tell you that - nice guys finish last". I agree with her... except in the movies. In film, it's almost always the nice guy that win's the girl / saves the day / rescues the kitten - you get my point. But there are a few exceptions where the nice guy, in-the-end just isn't so nice Posted to Dusk Diaries (Weblog) by Creature22 on 06-02-2010
  • 'go fetch,' vampy!

I think everyone can admit it. Werewolves don't get the respect they deserve. It seems like vampires are all the rage these days. Twilight 's box office pull was 191.5 million when it opened. Compare that to The Wolfman and its box office of 62 million, and it's official that people prefer bats to puppies. More evidence of the popularity Posted to Dusk Diaries (Weblog) by Creature22 on 05-31-2010
  • j'adore la femme fatales.

Femme Fatale , or in English Deadly Woman - and defined by Jane in the DUSK diary as "An alluring, beautiful, and charming woman who seduces her lovers into danger." Anyway you phrase it, this sounds like my type of girl. I've always had something for movies that showcase women with an edge, not afraid to push the boundaries to get what Posted to Dusk Diaries (Weblog) by Creature22 on 05-03-2010
